Sister Marisol Gallagher, CSJ, a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston for 71 years, died Monday, December 19, 2011.

Daughter of the late James and Nora (Lyons) Gallagher and beloved sister of the late Helen, Agnes, and Frances. Survived by many loving cousins.

Formerly missioned as a teacher at St. Clement, Somerville, St. Thomas, Jamaica Plain; Our Lady Help of Christians, Newton; Matignon, Cambridge; Arlington Catholic, Arlington; St. Mary’s Boys High School, Lynn; and Pope John XXIII, Everett; and ministered as a guidance counselor at Fontbonne Academy, Milton.

Sister Marisol served in the Boston Juvenile Court System as a probation officer and case counselor. She also ministered as a music teacher at Walnut Park School, Newton and Cathedral High School in Boston.

Visiting hours at St. Joseph Hall, 93 Bethany Road, Framingham, Wednesday, December 21, 2011, 3:30-6:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 5:30 p.m.

Funeral Mass: All meet at Saint Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverly Street, Framingham on Thursday, December 22, 2011, at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 70 Medford St., Arlington. Arrangements by Norton Funeral Home, Framingham.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Sisters of Saint Joseph, c/o Mission Advancement, 637 Cambridge St., Brighton, MA 02135
